The Swedish Touring Car Championship 2007 ended for little over a week ago. Fredrik Ekblom was crowned champion ahead of Robert Dahlgren and Richard Göransson. Flash Engineering took the team title ahead of WestCoast Racing and KMS. While the point tables show one thing we have gathered a big list of other statistics that show another picture.

We have gathered statistics of the top six of the championship – Fredrik Ekblom, Robert Dahlgren, Richard Göransson, Thed Björk, Jan Nilsson and Robin Rudholm. These six drivers proved during the season to be the drivers fighting for the title. Robin Rudholm only managed six stops and his average time is a bit hard to compare with the others.

The record time this year was of the Volvo team with Robert Dahlgren at 7,45 seconds.

Here Nilsson compensates for his poor qualifying average. In each race he gained 3.63 positions from his starting position while his closest opponent, Björk, took 0.88 positions in average.

Champion Ekblom on the other had did often not need to gain that many positions due to his good starting positions and holds an average of 0 positions gained.
