Edman negotiating with Polestar Volvo

Previous Swedish Touring Car Championship driver Jens Edman could be back with Volvo next year. The Volvo-team Polestar Racing are on the hunt for a new driver to join Robert Dahlgren. A lot of rumors are going around on who is going to take the seat, like Thed Björk, Daniel Haglöf and now most recently Edman.
“There are a lot of exciting things going on in STCC now and I want to be on the train when it leaves,” said Edman to STCC.se.

Edman drove in the Danish Touring Car Championship this year, but feels more attracted to the Swedish series despite several offers from Danish teams.
“I do not want to sign a contract with a Danish team before I know what options I have in Sweden,” said Edman.

Currently the Volvo-team has made no official announcement on which driver they will choose for the second Volvo C30 S2000 other than that they are discussing with Thed Björk. But Edman can confirm that he also is negotiating with the team and recent information to TouringCarTimes indicates that Björk will be in another racing class next year.
“We are having a dialouge and I am hoping for the best, that is all I can say,” Edman said.
