Still plans for a street race in 2008

Plans for STCC to have a street race in Gothenburg is ongoing, and STCC hopes to announce Gothenburg City Race as one of the races on the 2008 racecalender. The race was first announced in September at a pressconference in Gothenburg, where a planned street course in the harbour area was shown. STCC and Gothenburg has since then worked to make the race a reality in 2008.

– All our focus is set on having Gothenburg on the calender for 2008 when we announce the races for next season, STCC chairman Thomas Lindskog said to STCC.se.

A preliminary date for the race is already set for June 14:th and 15:th. A final decision regarding the city race is expected to come before the years end.
