Peugeot 308 confirmed for the STCC

Peugeot Sweden has confirmed that there will be a new Peugeot 308 build for Johan Stureson and IPS Motorsport in the Swedish Touring Car Championship 2008. The car will be build in complete S2000 specifications, replacing the old Peugeot 407 that Stureson has driven since 2005.
“We are supporting IPS Motorsport in the same way in 2008. They can start building the 308,” said Per Brinkemar from Peugeot Sweden.

The work on the new car will shortly begin at IPS Motorsport. Driver Johan Stureson is very happy about the decision.

“Now we will go full speed with this so we can be ready for the premiere race. We have a lot of testing ahead of us. It feels very nice to be on the grid with a new and modern car,” said Stureson.
