Volvo to sign second driver in January
The Swedish Touring Car Championship Volvo-team Polestar Racing still has not announced their second driver. Robert Dahlgren is already signed to drive one of the all new S2000 Volvo C30’s.
“We are not finished yet, but there will be a decision during January. We are discussing with a number of drivers in Sweden but also out side Sweden,” said team boss Christian Dahl.
Drivers that are rumored to be on Polestar’s list are Jens Edman, Daniel Haglöf and 2007 Volvo driver Alexander Storckenfeldt.
“We will find a driver that suits us, I am not worried about that. We have a good ground to build on and we have put a lot of energy to get the development work of the new C30 going,” said Dahl.
The C30 will hit the tracks again for more testing as soon as the weather conditions allows for it. The first official STCC test is reported to be scheduled on the 10:th of April at Gelleråsen.
