2008 calendar released with street race

The official version of the Swedish Touring Car Championship 2008 calendar has finally been released. Just like 2007 there will be eleven races, with the big news that we reported about last year: a street race in Gothenburg.
“We have the most exciting STCC-calendar ever, it is a long and though season with tracks that many drivers and teams already know of. Now we have a special race as well with the street race in Gothenburg,” said STCC MD Bob Huzell.

The street race in Gothenburg will be held on June 15th, becoming the first ever street race in STCC. STCC AB and the Gothenburg City organisation will release further details on the race at the end of January.

The seaon starts on April 20th at Knutstorp and will, as usual, end at Mantorp Park on September 28th. There will, just as last season, be one race out side of Sweden. Våler in Norway will once again host a race on September 14th.
