Chevrolet team present at test in Spain

The Swedish Touring Car Championship Chevrolet Team is still on the run for the 2008 season despite the silence around them. A driver was said to be announced before christmas, but still nothing. But today the team is present in Valencia with the WTCC Chevrolet team.
“It is very good for us to be there, to see, learn and discuss,” said team owner Nicklas Karlsson.

The Swedish Chevrolet team will start testing in March with the WTCC-team in France. At that time the team promises a driver will be appointed.

“We have a couple of drivers that we are having a dialog with and we feel pretty confident at the moment,” said Karlsson.

Rumors have been circulating that team owner Karlsson once again could be behind the wheel of the Lacetti. Karlsson drove the car in the few appearances of STCC 2007.

“We have a team and a car that we could, with the right driver, be in the top with. It is all about getting the driver that can manage this,” said Karlsson.
