Kristoffersson Motorsport still aiming for STCC

The previous Audi team Kristoffersson Motorsport (KMS) still have not given up the plans to be on the grid of STCC 2008 with their two remaining Audi A4 S2000. According to team owner and driver Tommy Kristoffersson they have three alternatives including Carrera Cup Scandinavia and STCC.
“We have not closed any doors and we are working on different alternatives. I do not want to get further in to what we are working on,” said Kristoffersson.

KMS have run Audi-cars in the STCC since 1998 but lost the contract after the 2007 season as Audi stepped out from the championship.

“We have lost momentum now and we have to power up again. We have a different strategy compared to the other big STCC-teams like WestCoast Racing and Flash Engineering since we have build up a lot of things around the support from the importer,” said Kristoffersson.

The season is getting closer and closer, but Kristoffersson looks optimistic on the situation.

“It feels a bit heavy now and the time is running away. We have a cars and a team that is among the best in Sweden. If we get a new sponsor that want to join us and be seen with a very good team, we will be on the grid,” said Kristoffersson.
