Volvo looks set to reveal foreign driver
The Volvo team will sign their second driver this week. A lot of different names have been mentioned during the off season, but according to our information it will not be a Swede. It looks set that Tommy Rustad will move from Opel and replace Alexander Storckenfeldt in the brand new Volvo C30 along side Robert Dahlgren.
“We will get it done this week and we are planning to announce it next week. Volvo has had clear desires to have a foreign driver, we are trying to meet that demand,” said team boss Christian Dahl.
Storckenfeldt looks to loose his Volvo-seat after two seasons with the Swedish manufacturer.
“I have negotiated with Volvo but I have not got any decision. I have had a good time with the team and I hope to continue. At the same time I know the situation and what it can mean,” said Storckenfeldt.
