Video of the Gothenburg city race

The Swedish Touring Car Championship team Flash Engineering were present in Gothenburg earlier this week and inspected the grounds for the city race. On June 13-14 the race will take place and drivers Jan “Flash” Nilsson and Thomas Johansson left the scene enthusiastic.
“This will be completely awesome, I can’t wait! The track is located very close to the city centre and has got a really cool layout,” said “Flash”.

Currently the race organisers are working hard on removing old rail tracks where the new asphalt will be put. The second Flash Engineering driver Richard Göransson has been part of the work with the layout.

“I have adjusted some corners and I think they have got a really excellent layout now. It will have everything that a modern race track needs. I want to race there now,” said Göransson with a smile.

The track measures 1.800 meters and has got a straight of around 600 to 650 meters. Two big hairpins at each end of the track, planned to be build in “Hockenheim-style” with wide entries and exits.
“The two hairpins will be perfect for overtaking and fooling the opponents off the track,” said “Flash” with a smile.

TouringCarTimes was present during the day and can here present a video from the day with commentary from “Flash” and Johansson.
