Dick Sahlén joins STCC in a BMW 320i

The Swedish Touring Car Championship privateers cup – Caran Cup – gets a new face for the 2008 season. Dick Sahlén makes his STCC debut in the BMW 320i E46 that David Björk drove last season.
“This feels great! STCC is the place where you want to go. To take part in the privateers cup is a good step in to STCC and I hope people take notice of me this year,” said Sahlén to STCC.se.

Team Caliber will run the car this season and last time they were on the grid was back in 2001 with Peter Hallén behind the wheel. Team manager Conny Hallén is convinced that Dick can make a good job in STCC 2008.

“We have had a co-operation with Dick for many years, in S60 Challenge and Radical. He is really quick and he will be able to challenge for Caran Cup wins if everything is in the right place,” said Hallén.

Sahlén drove Radical last season and his previous racing history contains Volvo S60 Challenge and Go Cart.
