Team Air Cool receive car in time
Yesterday we reported on the efforts from Team Air Cool to make it to the grid of this weekend race at Brands Hatch, the opening round of the 2008 British Touring Car Championship. Today the team announced their new car has arrived in the UK and has been delivered to the Brands Hatch circuit.
The team had sent a driver on Easter Monday to collect the new SEAT Léon from the SEAT Sport factory in Barcelona, Spain. The car was collected last tuesday afternoon and brought to the UK straight away.
“It has been a stressful few days for all of the Team wondering as to whether we would make it in time for the first meeting of the season and especially for Tony who has driven over 2000 miles to collect the car”, Graham Davis, team manager of Team Air Cool, said.
The car is now safely in its garage at Brands Hatch where Paul Ridgeway and his Team of mechanics from GR-Asia are carrying out the set-up work for Brands Hatch and Friday should see the work completed.
