Turkington continues strong form at Brands

Colin Turkington of Team RAC continued his strong form with his BMW 320si during the second practice session of the British Touring Car Championship premiere of 2008. His best time in this session was 48.986 which was a big (for Brands Hatch) 0.127 seconds faster than BMW-colleauge Mat Jackson of BMW Dealer Team UK. Third fastest was Tom Chilton in his Honda Civic, 0.217 seconds behind.

Previous Honda-driver Matt Neal was fourth fastest ahead of the two diesel powered SEAT Léon’s of Jason Plato and Darren Turner. New-guy Steven Kane continued his strong form in seventh with the Motorbase BMW.

Reigning champion Fabrizio Giovanardi was only 13:th with his Vauxhall Vectra. According to reports from the track the Italian focused on longer stints during the session.

Team Air Cool-driver Adam Jones made a strong run and took eight fastest time in his all new SEAT Léon. The team got the car only yesterday and have done a lot of hard work to get the car ready for Jones.
