Teams start testing in south of Sweden
The first official tests for the Swedish Touring Car Championship begins tomorrow at Sturup and continues the following day at Sturup. Both tracks are located in the south of Sweden and some of the teams have started a day early. WestCoast Racing (BMW) and Nordic Fine Art (SEAT) tested at Knutstorp while Flash Engineering, Polestar and the Honda team were present at Sturup.
Flash Engineering completed a few shakedown-laps without any problems. The Volvo-team on the other hand only managed to do a few laps before they were hindered by technical problems. Robert Dahlgren and Tommy Rustad were present, but only Dahlgren drove the only car.
According to our reports two different problems arose during the day. At first the airbox failed. And when the team had repaired it, the gearbox failed. This forced the team pack up and head back to Gothenburg. They will not be present at the official test tomorrow at Sturup and it is unsure if they will make it to Knutstorp on friday.
Stay tuned for complete coverage of the both test days, starting tomorrow!
