WestCoast Racing double at Knutstorp

WestCoast Racing took both top spots during the afternoon session of the STCC test at Knutstorp. Fredrik Ekblom was only 0.137 from going below the magical one minute lap time at the short and twisty track.
“It is always nice to end two test days with being fastest. But most of all it is nice for the team that has worked very hard during these days,” said Ekblom.

Third was the Flash Engineering-driver Richard Göransson, only 0.049 seconds behind Robin Rudholm.
“Today was much better compared to Sturup. We had things under control and it is really nice to be in the top,” said Göransson.

Thed Björk, who topped the morning session, was fourth fastest in his brand new Honda Accord. Thomas Schie showed a strong form in the Chevrolet with fifth fastest time after putting the Chevrolet in the tyre wall in the morning session.

Mattias Andersson on the other hand had a worse afternoon session. His differential failed and he had to abort the test.
“We are going to Italy tomorrow with the broken parts. It is a shame since we were showing a strong form,” said Andersson.

Next test will take place at Mantorp on Thursday, followed by Gelleråsen on Friday.
