Ekblom fastest at Gelleråsen test

Fredrik Ekblom topped the final STCC-test before the season start, at Gelleråsen. The BMW-dominance continued with Richard Göransson second, Jan Nilsson third and Robin Rudholm fourth.
“If you are quickest, you’ve had a good day. But the test results does not mean that much. Göransson and the rest will give us a hard fight,” said Ekblom to STCC.se.

Göransson, who was second, was both happy and unhappy with his car. After the lunch break the team changed the setup drastically.

“We had a good car before lunch and a bad car after lunch. We rebuilt the entire car to get values to evaluate for Knutstorp. Now we have a lot of data and I feel confident for the premiere,” said Göransson.

The Honda-duo of Thed Björk and Tomas Engström was best non-BMW-cars with fifth and sixth best times respectively. The two were followed by Thomas Schie in the Chevrolet Lacetti, only 0.045 seconds behind.

Robert Dahlgren in the all new Volvo C30 was eight fastest while his team mate Tommy Rustad was unable to drive the car after the lunch break due to engine problems.
