The new Peugeot to be tested soon

The Swedish Touring Car Championship Peugeot team IPS Motorsport are planning to do their first test with the new Peugeot 308 S2000 this week.
“We need a couple of days more before the test. We want to have run the car before the premiere,” said Johan Stureson to STCC.se.

The STCC premiere takes place at Knutstorp, Stureson’s home track, on sunday. Due to delays in the process of building the car the team has missed all official test days.

“It is for sure not optimal, but we have not had any choise. We got the car one month ago. Since then we have been working on it seven days a week,” said Stureson.

The goal for the first couple of races are modest due to the lack of experience of the new car.
“To hope for top positions already at Knutstorp is putting your cheek too far out. But we will be back strongly when we get the steam up,” said Stureson.
