Lvov drives Audi for Kristoffersson
Kristoffersson Motorsport will field their second Audi A4 at the second Swedish Touring Car Championship race at Sturup this weekend. The Russian Alexander Lvov will be behind the wheel. Strange enough it is not the Alexander Lvov that tested the Audi during pre season testing earlier this spring.
“No, it is another driver with the same name. A bit strange, but that is the way it is,” said Kristoffersson to STCC.se.
Lvov will drive the car that Thed Björk won the title with in 2006. The Russian is backed by the Russian team Solex Auto that previously has run Audi’s in the Finnish Touring Car Championship.
“Our contact person in this project has run our previus cars in Finland, the first S2000 A4’s that we build. We have sold spare parts to them and we know who they are,” said Kristoffersson.
Only one STCC race is planned so far for Lvov. The team has announced that they will run the race at Sturup as a test race to evaluate the situation.
“We are hoping that it will progress nicely and that they want to drive more races and perhaps the whole season next year,” said Kristoffersson.
