Fredrik Ekblom on top at Gelleråsen test

Fredrik Ekblom continues his very strong form in the Swedish Touring Car Championship – today at Gelleråsen for the fourth round of the year. The WestCoast Racing-driver lapped the track in 1:06.795. It was only Ekblom and Thomas Schie in the Chevrolet Lacetti that were able to get under 1:07. Third was Richard Göransson with the time 1:07.146.

The conditions at Gelleråsen are very warm today. Temperatures are expected to climb to 30 degrees celsius and the track is slippery.

Robin Rudholm mastered the tricky conditions and was fourth fastest, only 0.05 behind Göransson. Mattias Andersson in the all-white Alfa Romeo was fifth fastest.

The two Volvo-drivers Robert Dahlgren and Tommy Rustad were sixth and eigth respectively with Tomas Engström in the Honda Accord between them.

Qualifying starts 12.25 with the race at 15.00 CET.
