Dahlgren taken to hospital after accident
Volvo-man Robert Dahlgren was taken to hospital after his accident during the first test session at the Gothenburg City Race. Dahlgren was fastest before he crashed in to the barriers with the left side of his car.
“I am feeling good now, I have some pain in my back but now I just want a new car to be able to take part in the race tomorrow,” said Dahlgren to STCC.se.
The reason for the accident was reported to be something in the brake system that failed. He is currently at the Sahlgrenska Hospital in Gothenburg for a check up.
“They found no injuries at the hospital, which is very nice to hear. The car will be ready for tomorrow,” said team boss Christian Dahl.
Thomas Lindskog, manager of Gothenburg City Race, commented the incident.
“It is good to hear that he is okay! I think this is also a proof that all routines that we have practiced on works well. It might look spectacular when the barriers move, but that is just the way it is supposed to work,” said Lindskog.
