Onboard video from the Gothenburg race
Many feared that the Swedish Touring Car Championship street race premiere would be hindered by the common problem of street races – no overtaking. But the race showed otherwise. There was a lot of overtaking in the first corner and the two hairpins of the track.
In this video we get to ride with the Flash Engineering-driver Richard Göransson and his BMW 320si.
The double STCC-championship fought with the top during the race but had to settle for ninth place and zero points. Göransson lost one lap in the pits as the team tried to repair an oil leak.
The battles for Göransson were many, with Thomas Schie, Johan Stureson, Carl Rosenblad and more.
Note the hard attack of Göransson when he is about to pass the Volvo of Robert Dahlgren, a big slide at the exit of the first chicane.
