Roger Eriksson takes first ever pole position!

Roger Eriksson took his first ever Swedish Touring Car Championship pole position in a weather-dominated qualifying session at Falkenberg. Richard Göransson was fastest in the pre-qualifying but second fastest in Super Pole ahead of Thomas Schie. Robert Dahlgren was second fastest initially but has been moved down ten places on the grid due to his crash with Mattias Andersson during the last race.

Robin Rudholm of WestCoast Racing will start fourth ahead of Thed Björk and Carl Rosenblad. Fredrik Ekblom will start seventh after being too late to the Super Pole.

Rain came over the track after a couple of minutes in the pre-qualifying which made the times set in the beginning of the session remaining as fastest through out the entire session. Ekblom made it to the Super Pole, but a late decision to change to slick tires forced him to remain in the pits.

Janne “Flash” Nilsson was the first man out side the Super Pole and will start eight thanks to the Dahlgren penalty. Tommy Rustad, who dominated the practice sessions earlier at Falkenberg, never got a quick lap in the pre-qualifying and will start ninth ahead of the impressive privateer Tobias Johansson in his privately owned and developed Mercedes C200.
