WestCoast Racing responds on accusations

The war of words between the Swedish Touring Car Championship top BMW-teams WestCoast Racing and Flash Engineering continues. The team manager of WestCoast Racing, Dick Jönsson Wigroth, replies to the hard words from Jan “Flash” Nilsson of yesterday.
“It is pathetic. Rosenblad buys some services from us like the pitstop and food from our catering. But we do not decide how he is going to drive. He has his own mechanics and engineers. These type of attacks are just pathetic,” said Jönsson Wigroth to STCC.se.

“Flash” said in an interview yesterday that he is sure that Rosenblad has entered the race at Knutstorp to get in the way of Flash Engineering on behalf of WestCoast Racing.

“Flash has done these types of strategies before, perhaps he knows others by him self. We at BMW have never done this before and if we turn it the other way around we could accuse him of the same thing. Rosenblad’s car is closer to Karlstad (the location of Flash Engineering) than Halmstad (WestCoast Racing) and I know that they exchange technical support,” said Jönsson Wigroth.

“Flash” continued in the interview of yesterday to say that if things get dirty, he would sacrifice him self and drive in to the side of Ekblom.

“That is just a try to psych out. It will not bite on us. I have experienced it before, but I hope and believe that the drivers in the top are professional enough not to hit another driver on purpose. I would gone completely mad if anyone of my drivers would have done something like that,” said Jönsson Wigroth.

The scene for the coming STCC-race is Knutstorp, a place where there has been controversial incidents before. “Flash” and Andersson had a crash here last year and Robin Rudholm and Thed Björk also had a coming together here the year before.
“Knutstorp invites to dramatical passes. It is the last part of the season and we have a though track. It is race and mind gaming, but we are going to stick to it, drive though and win. That is what it’s all about,” said Jönsson Wigroth.
