Volvo urges after first 2008 win

The Volvo team have taken pole position in half of the Swedish Touring Car Championship races this year. But so far none of these have given a win. This is something that team boss Christian Dahl is convinced will change at Knutstorp.
“Now it is time for a win. Last time something went wrong in the pitstop and we lost time after that. But the race it self was a step in the right direction,” said Dahl to STCC.se.

During the last race at Gelleråsen Volvo took 1-2 on the grid with Robert Dahlgren on pole and team mate Tommy Rustad second. But as in previous races when the Volvo’s have been in the lead, they seem to fade after some distance in the race.

“We cannot push any harder than we are doing today. We have really good speed in the car and we qualify good, but then the pace is not enough for the races and that is something we have to work on,” said Dahl.

The team is expanding for the race at Knutstorp, 20 men is going to be 25. On the webpage the team is looking for mechanics, production leader and engineers.

“We have a lot of projects ahead of us. We are still in the beginning of this project despite that it is nearing the end of this season. We really need a win this year and we know that the car is good at Knutstorp,” said Dahl.
