Volvo continues to dominate tests

The Volvo team continues their traditions to be fast in practice sessions. The question this weekend is if they can turn it in to a good result in the race. Norwegian Tommy Rustad was fastest in the Knutstorp practice session ahead of his team mate Robert Dahlgren. Rustad was almost half a second faster than Dahlgren and the both were running on new tyres on the contrary to many drivers behind them.

Thomas Schie was third fastest in his Chevrolet Lacetti ahead of the first BMW-driver. Robin Rudholm of WestCoast Racing was fourth fastest, 0.649 seconds behind Rustad, but only 0.016 seconds behind Schie.

Tommy Kristoffersson was a fine fifth fastest, much thanks to running on new tyres as he has missed a couple races and has more new tyres to use compared to the others.

The championship rivals Thed Björk, Fredrik Ekblom and Richard Göransson followed each others. Björk was sixth fastest, Ekblom seventh and Göransson eight. Göransson suffered from clutch problems during the session and went in to the garage early.
