Second win for Mat Jackson at Brands

Mat Jackson scored win number two of the weekend in the second British Touring Car Championship race at Brands Hatch. The BMW-man led the race from lights to flag with Matt Neal and Colin Turkington right behind him. The pair followed each other through the entire race, passing Steven Kane and Robert Collard on the way to their podium finishes.

Collard claimed fourth ahead of Kane. Tom Chilton finished sixth, six seconds behind Jackson. Andrew Jordan took a strong seventh ahead of Vauxhall-man Tom Onslow-Cole and Honda-man Gordon Shedden.

Mike Jordan rounded out top ten ahead of Adam Jones and Stephen Jelley. Previous championship contender Jason Plato failed to finish the race when his steering rack failed. Newly crowned champion Fabrizio Giovanardi also failed to finish the race as his Vectra refused to start up before the race.
