Pictures of the S2000 Saab 93 in action

The new S2000 Saab 93 BioPower completed a number of demonstration laps during the final race weekend of the Swedish Touring Car Championship. Jens Edman was behind the wheel of the car and had a problem free run around the three kilometer long Mantorp Park.

The engine of the car was run on regular petrol during the demonstration run, but the plan for the team is to run it on bio-ethanol next year.

The engine of the car is Saab’s four cylinder, two liter engine. The gearbox is a six-speed sequential from Xtrac, the same one the team used in the Opel Astra.
