TV divided between SVT and Visasat

The Swedish Touring Car Champioship TV-broadcast 2009 will be divided between SVT (stately owned television) and Viasat. SVT will run the resume one day after the race while Viasat will run the broadcast on the race day.
“It is an unique solution with the best of two worlds for STCC,” said STCC MD Bob Huzell.

This year SVT broadcasted all races live. But for next year they will only handle the resume one day after.
“STCC as an event works better for us as a resume and it is a good piece in our selection of motorsport,” said Albert Svanberg of SVT.

Viasat held the broadcasts for STCC only a couple of years ago and are happy to be back.
“We are looking forward to work long term with STCC and SVT to develop our own live broadcasts from the races,” said Per Tellander from Viasat.
