Vauxhall completes test in Spain

The British Touring Car Championship team have completed a three-day test in Spain at the Guadix track. Reigning champion Fabrizio Giovanardi was present along with his team mate Matt Neal and the youngster Andrew Jordan.
Jordan will run a Vectra in the Team Eurotech next season with help from Vauxhall.

“Andrew did a very good job. He didn’t put a wheel wrong, his feedback was good and he was very sensible,” said Vauxhall team boss Ian Harrison to BTCC.net.

“Above all, the test enabled Fabrizio and Matt to run through things we’ve stacked up during the season. You make a list of modifications you’d like to try and this enabled us to try them out.”

2009 will be the third season for the Vauxhall Vectra-model and Harrison expects a tougher job next year.

“I think we could be in a bit of trouble next year, we may struggle. We’re coming to end of the Vectra’s life in 2009 and running out of things to do with it. But that doesn’t mean to say we won’t be trying.”
