Thed Björk joins Flash Engineering

Flash Engineering has signed the 2006 Swedish Touring Car Championship-champion Thed Björk. The 28-year-old Swede will team up with STCC-legend Jan “Flash” Nilsson.
“I am very proud to join the most professional team in Sweden! I know that I really have the chance to go for the title now,” said Björk.

The both will drive a pair of BMW 320si in the STCC 2009 and double STCC-champion “Flash” is very pleased over his new team mate.

“I have had contact with Björk since he started driving in STCC and I know that he is one of the quickest drivers there is,” said “Flash”.

Last time Björk drove a S2000-BMW was in 2005, with Richard Göransson as team mate, when he finished second in the championship, the very same year the “new” team Flash Engineering saw the light of day.

“We are in a phase where we are working on preserving and improving the things we have build up since the start 2005. Björk fits perfectly in our young organisation and we think that he will contribute in stabilizing and developing the team towards new results,” said team manager Johan Kvick.
