Adam Jones to drive bio ethanol SEAT Léon

Adam Jones will drive for Cartridge World Carbon Zero Racing in the British Touring Car Championship 2009. The 28-year-old will drive a bio-ethanol powered SEAT Léon.
“It’s great to be driving for the team this coming season. They have been working flat out to get on the grid and I’m sure we will be very competitive and hit the ground running,” said Jones.

Jones finished third in the independents championship last year after a strong run in a privately owned SEAT Léon. For the 2009 season his team mate will be Dan Eaves.

“I’m looking forward to having a team mate for the first time in the BTCC and I’m sure we will push each other throughout the season and surprise a few people along the way.”

Colin Neill, CVR’s team boss, is happy over his new driver and hopes for good results during the 2009 season of the BTCC.

“I am delighted that Adam has come on board and joined Cartridge World Carbon Zero Racing. Adam had a fantastic season last year and will be a real asset to the team. Adam and Dan are totally focused on the season ahead. Both drivers have set themselves some realistic goals in their first season together and where they want to be. The team are totally focused on the first round at Brands Hatch in April and are currently preparing the cars for our first test day,” said Neill.
