Thomas Schie gets mileage in Portugal

The Swedish Chevrolet-team joined the WTCC Chevolet-team during a test at Estoril in Portugal. Thomas Schie was driving the Chevrolet Lacetti and was pleased with the progress.
“I am pleased what we have got out of the days here despite the weather conditions. It feels really nice to be behind the wheel again after the winter break,” said Schie.

The focus for the team was to get mileage with the, for the STCC-team, new Yokohama-tyres. The Swedish series switches from Michelin to Yokohama for the 2009-season.

“We were able to work through the parts of the setup that we wanted to and we had no technical difficulties at all,” said technical director Börje Wessman.

The official STCC-tests are still far away. The first will take place at Mantorp Park on the 15th of April, followed by Gelleråsen on the 16th of April. Knutstorp is the final pre-season test on April the 23rd.
