Liam McMillan tests at Brands Hatch

The 18-year-old Liam McMillan continues his testing program ahead of his British Touring Car Championship debut. Earlier this week McMillan completed 80 laps at Brands Hatch.
“I’m really happy with how it’s all progressing. This was our second test after Snetterton and we were able to set some decent lap times in what were far from ideal temperatures,” said McMillan to btcc.net.

“I was lapping quicker than Chris Stockton managed here in basically the same car during the race meeting in October and he’s a handy pilot so I have to be pleased!”

The team has planned more tests before the season start. The team will run at Rockingham, Silverstone and Snetterton. McMillan is completely new to the SEAT Toledo that he is going to drive during the BTCC 2009 and has got a steep learning curve ahead of him.

“It’s a big learning curve for the team and myself but we’re very satisfied with how it’s all coming together. Unfortunately the test today had to end early as I ran off the road at Clearways and just brushed into the barriers,” said McMillan.
