Johan Kristoffersson confirmed for Semcon

Johan Kristoffersson has, as TouringCarTimes predicted, been confirmed for the Swedish Touring Car Championship Semcon Cup. The 20 year old Swede will drive the Audi A4 his father drove STCC 2008 with.
“It feels exciting and it is great that all details are in place,” said Kristoffersson.

Tommy Kristoffersson, Johan’s father, announced his retirement from racing at the end of the past season. Johan will take the step from the support class JTCC where he drove a Volkswagen Golf last year.

“I am more or less raised in the pits and around the STCC drivers. Now I am going to drive my self! It feels great and in fact a bit unreal,” said Kristoffersson.

The Kristoffersson Motorsport team will appear in a smaller version than during previous seasons. But Kristoffersson is confident.

“It will of course be a bit nervous during the premiere. But as I have followed the established drivers close up for years, I know that they are all the same: hard on the outside and soft on the inside,” said Kristoffersson with a smile.
