Viktor Hallrup aims for Semcon Cup success
Viktor Hallrup is going to take part in the Swedish Touring Car Championship privateers cup called Semcon Cup. He was initially headed for Formula Renault before choosing STCC.
“I was completely focused of Formula Renault when I got the offer to drive STCC. It was an offer I absolutely could not say no to,” said Hallrup to Sportinformation.
Hallrup is going to drive a 2005 specification BMW 320i E46, a car that was driven to second place in the championship by Thed Björk in 2005.
“I am longing to get in the car and start all the tests. There is a lot to learn,” said Hallrup.
Team CaWalli is going to run the car, a team that last was present in STCC with David Björk two years ago.
“It is going to be a tough job for Hallrup, but we are convinced that he is going to be able to handle it,” said team boss Joakim Wiedesheim.
