Chevrolet Sweden to run Cruze next year

The Swedish Touring Car Championship Chevrolet team is going to switch to the new Cruze model next year. This year Chevrolet Motorsport Sweden is running one Chevrolet Lacetti for Norwegian Thomas Schie.
“We are promoting Chevrolet as a young and dynamic make. Next year we will have a Cruze in STCC as well,” said Patrik Riese of Chevrolet Sweden to the Bilsport.

The new Cruze model was introduced for the works World Touring Car Championship team at the opening round in Brazil two weeks ago.

The team failed to score any points in its debut, while Nicola Larini was close but received a penalty which put him outside the points.

But the team and drivers are optimistic for the coming races and firmly believe that the Cruze will be faster compared to the older Lacetti model.

Schie is going to drive the same Lacetti that he used last year in STCC. The Norwegian finished seventh last year with a second place at the Gothenburg race as his best finish.
