Tempus Sport works on second Chevrolet
Tempus Sport are working hard ahead of the 2009 British Touring Car Championship premiere which takes place at Brands Hatch this weekend. The team could have a second car present alongside Harry Vaulkhard.
“We were hoping to have a second car out at Brands too, unfortunately that hasn’t quite come together yet,” said team boss Richard Coleman.
While the deal has taken longer time than expected to close, the team is confident that the second car will be out later this year if not at the premiere.
“However, we’re working on several options to have a second car out later in the year. It’s going to be quite some weekend for us.
The team may be new, but our crew oozes experience, this will be the first time when we get to put that all into practice for a race weekend,” said Coleman.
Number one driver of the team, Harry Vaulkhard is looking forward to the season start.
“I cannot wait to get the season started! The Brands Indy circuit is a great little track and it feels as if you are constantly turning a corner as you never seem to have the steering wheel pointed straight,” said Vaulkhard.
Despite mixed emotions about his previous experiences of Brands Hatch, Vaulkhard is confident of the potential of the car.
“I’ve got mixed emotions about my previous experiences at Brands, as I had a race win and fastest lap here in 2007, but a big crash in 2005.
For this year, the Chevrolet’s got great potential and if we get it dialled-in to the track we should be set for good results,” said Vaulkhard.
