Adam penalised – Plato wins

Jonatham Adam has been stripped his debut win from the final race of the British Touring Car Championship premiere today at Brands Hatch. The Airwaves BMW driver was penalised for the accident with Jason Plato in Paddock Hill Bend. Due to this Plato inherits the win in race three.

The both came together a couple of laps in to the final race of the day.

Adam pushed plato in to a spin which enabled the BMW man to continue on and take the win with 3.8 seconds ahead of Plato.

The stewards of the race looked at the video footage of the incident and ruled that Adam should be penalized with four seconds, moving him to second behind Plato.

Plato was involved in a similar accident in the first race. The Chevrolet driver pushed Stephen Jelley at Druids and was able to pass.

No penalty was issued in that case.
