Mantorp Park test picture special

The Swedish Touring Car Championship teams have had their first official battle. Mantorp Park was the host of the test session and Richard Göransson produced the fastest lap time of the day under the blue spring sky. TouringCarTimes was present during the test day and are proud to present a picture special from the day.

The Swedish Touring Car Championship test day was a first for many.

Thed Björk made his first official test day for Flash Engineering in the BMW 320si.

Richard Göransson made his first official test day for WestCoast Racing since he left the team in 2005.

Fredrik Ekblom and Patrik Olsson made their first official run in the bio gas powered Volkswagen Scirocco. The team tested many different settings during the day, the most noticeable change was that they ran both with and without the big rear diffuser during the day.

Privateers Viktor Hallrup and Micke Ohlsson made their first ever official appearance in the STCC.

Johan Kristoffersson made his STCC debut today and held a high pace. But it should be noted that he ran on Michelin tyres during the day and not Yokohama.
