Robin Rudholm fastest at Mantorp Park

Robin Rudholm topped the first part of the first official Swedish Touring Car Championship test at Mantorp Park. The WestCoast Racing driver had his team mate Richard Göransson just 0.085 seconds behind him.
“I am pleased so far, everything is working well,” said Rudholm.

A total of 17 cars are present at Mantorp Park today and Volvo-man Robert Dahlgren was third fastest of them all. Dahlgren was 0.277 seconds behind the fastest time of the day.

New Flash Engineering driver Thed Björk was fourth fastest in his BMW 320si, 0.337 seconds behind Rudholm.

“We are testing a huge number of different settings today and so far we have not run on new tyres. I am pleased with the performance,” said Björk

Chevrolet man Thomas Schie was fifth fastest ahead of STCC veteran Jan “Flash” Nilsson. Only 0.006 seconds separated the both.

And it was close times all through out the field. Top ten was covered within eight tenths of a second.

Johan Stureson claimed seventh position ahead of STCC new comer Johan Kristoffersson in the Audi A4.

Mattias Andersson and Tommy Rustad rounded out top ten. The test continues until 17.00 today, stay tuned for further reports!
