Claes Hoffsten joins Semcon Cup

The privateers class Semcon Cup has got a last minute entry for the Swedish Touring Car Championship premiere at Mantorp Park next weekend. The Swede Claes Hoffsten is going to enter the race, a driver completely new to STCC. Hoffsten is going to drive an Alfa Romeo 156.

Hoffsten has mainly driven one make classes before. His last full season was in 2004 when he drove Volvo S60 Challenge and finished fourth in the championship.

His best placement overall so far was third in Volvo S40 Challenge, then called JTCC, in 2002.

Hoffsten is 32 years old and currently lives in Stockholm with his wife Maria and two daughters.
