Dahlgren stays on top at Knutstorp

There was no stopping the Volvo driver Robert Dahlgren today. His fastest time from the morning session remained the fastest time of the day. Richard Göransson improved his best time and confirmed the extremely close field of STCC 2009 as he only was 0.084 seconds behind Dahlgren. The drivers behind those two were even closer.

Robin Roudholm in fourth and Thed Björk in fifth, both driving BMW, were separated by one thousand of a second!

Mattias Andersson was fifth in his white and blue Alfa Romeo 156, ahead of Roger Eriksson in the SEAT and Jan “Flash” Nilsson in the BMW.

Johan Stureson was eigth fastest ahead of Tommy Rustad in his brand new Volvo C30, a car that was completed the night before the test.

Fredrik Ekblom rounded off top ten in his Volkswagen Scirocco, coming below one second from the fastest time for the first time during the pre season testing.

The Volkswagen team ran without the rear diffuser for the entire day and even tested to run without a roof spoiler at one point of the day.
