Brand new Honda for Tomas Engström

Despite loosing the support of Honda Sweden, Tomas Engström has got a brand new 2009 specification Honda Accord for the Swedish Touring Car Championship 2009.
“I have the best material that I have ever had in the STCC,” said Engström to Dalademokraten.

The team ordered the new car before Honda Sweden announced their withdrawal.

But instead of canceling the order, JAS, the builders of the car, stepped in to help Engström.

“We could have canceled the car, but JAS stepped in and helped us financially. Without them it would never been possible,” said Engström.

The team is stepping back to one car this year, last year they had two cars for Engström and Thed Björk. The ambition for this year is modest.

“We are here to have fun! If we are able to finish top five, the we have done a great job! We are fighting against three teams with huge resources,” said Engström.
