Dahlgren dominates first Mantorp test

Robert Dahlgren blitzed Mantorp Park in the first test session of the race weekend. The Volvo driver lapped the track in 1:20.371 and was a whopping 0.7 seconds faster than his closest rival – Robin Rudholm. Third fastest was reigning champion Richard Göransson, only four thousands of a second behind his team mate.

Fourth fastest was Flash Engineering man Thed Björk with Tommy Rustad only four thousands, again, of a second behind.

Jan Nilsson was sixth fastest ahead of Mattias Andersson and Tomas Engström.

Ninth was Chevrolet driver Thomas Schie who ended his session in the barriers. The Norwegian lost one of his rear wheels and went in to the barriers, seriously damaging his Lacetti.

“I lost a rear wheel and went in to the barriers. I’m not sure if we are going to make it to the qualifying,” said Schie.

Qualifying starts at 10.20 CET.
