Penalty confirmed for Robert Dahlgren
The penalty of ten grid positions in the coming Swedish Touring Car Championship race at Gelleråsen for Robert Dahlgren was confirmed today.
“It is going to be a very tough weekend,” said Dahlgren on the official STCC website.
The rules requires each engine in the championship to last for two race weekends, which means four races. Dahlgren’s engine blew in the second race of the premiere at Mantorp Park.
“I thought the nightmare was over at Mantorp, but it continues. My goal now is to make it through the first corner alive at Gelleråsen.
The first corner there often produces accidents and if I could have chosen one track not to have that penalty, it would have been here,” said Dahglren.
Despite the setback with the penalty, Dahlgren has got high hopes and wants to take more than ten points, as he did during the premiere weekend.
“My goal is to get more than ten points. My goal in the first race is to get in to top eight to take advantage of the reversed grid order for the second race,” said Dahlgren.
