Stureson climbs to third in the championship

Peugeot driver Johan Stureson has moved up in to third in the Swedish Touring Car Championship standings. After a slow start with only three points in the premiere, Stureson has scored two podiums in the two last races.
“It feels really nice, the podium at Gothenburg almost felt like a win,” said Stureson.

Thanks to the podium finish, IPS Motorsport/MA:GP scored the 100 000 Swedish kronor in prize money.

“Those money came perfect, we are going to put them on engine renovation,” said team boss Per Stureson.

The next STCC race takes place at Knutstorp in three weeks, the home race of Stureson.

“With this year’s budget in mind, our goal is to finish top five. And to be able to go to Knutstorp as third in the championship is really nice,” said Stureson.
