BMW on top at unofficial test

A good portion of the Swedish Touring Car Championship teams were present during an unofficial test at Knutstorp today. The timekeeping was on for the second part of the day which showed BMW on top with both WestCoast Racing drivers fastest. Robin Rudholm topped the list with 1:00.637 and his team mate Richard Göransson with 1:00.727.

Jan “Flash” Nilsson of Flash Engineering was third fastest with the time 1:00.878 while his team mate Thed Björk was running without a transponder.

Both Biogas.se drivers Fredrik Ekblom and Patrik Olsson were present during the test. Ekblom was fastest of the two in fourth position with the time 1:01.254.

Mattias Andersson was second fastest front wheel driven car in fifth ahead of Roger Eriksson in the SEAT Léon.

Most notably was that the presence of Micke Ohlsson, driving a BMW 320i instead of his regular Peugeot 407.

According to our information Ohlsson is switching car due to the engine trouble he has had during the first three race weekends. Stay tuned for more information on the subject!
