Jens Edman continues Saab testing

Jens Edman has completed a couple of test days with the Saab Dealer Team at Gelleråsen. The previous Swedish Touring Car Championship race winner was pleased with the days.
“I am really enjoying it! We have tested a lot of stuff and we have still a lot left, especially with the new Yokohama tyres,” said Edman to TouringCarTimes.com.

While the testing has been resumed again, there is no official decision yet on an eventual STCC entry this year for Saab and/or Edman.

“There is no decision yet. They hired me to test the car during these days, then we will see where we go from there. I do not think they are going to enter the STCC until they know that they are going to be competitive,” said Edman.

At first it looked set for the Saab team to enter the STCC at the season start. But when Saab as a manufacturer got in to financial trouble, things got put on hold.

But the resuming of the testings indicate, along with strong rumors, that the team is preparing to take part in the last couple of races of the season.

The question is if Edman is going to be behind the wheel or another driver.

“I cannot comment it, I have just heard that there has been a lot of speculations about it,” said Edman.
