Volkswagen want more points at Knutstorp

The Volkswagen team, Biogas.se, are hungry for more points at Knutstorp after taking their first point ever during the previous race at Gothenburg.
“It was really nice to fight in the top and we can increase our championship points with several hundred percent,” said Ekblom with a smile.

For this race the team has got another weight reduction, this time 20 kilos.

But despite that, team boss Tobias Johansson is cautious on the expectations ahead of the race.

“We are making progress all the time and we have tested a lot at Knutstorp. But the track does certainly not suit front wheel driven cars and we are going to be more than pleased if we are able to get a few points here,” said Johansson.

STCC newcomer and Volkswagen man Patrik Olsson is looking forward to the race at Knutstorp, a track the young Swede is quite new to.

“The track is rather new to me. It is completely different to drive these car which has more power compared to my previous cars. But I feel that I learn each time that get in to the car,” said Olsson.
