Thed Björk gets new car after crash

Championship leader Thed Björk crashed at 160 km/h at Knutstorp after contact with rival driver Richard Göransson. Björk crashed in to the wall and completely destroyed his BMW and fractured his shoulder. Two days later Flash Engineering team has got a new BMW for Björk.
“It is a wonderful sight, it is only magicians and Flash Engineering that can pull this off,” said Björk.

Flash Engineering took the decision on the night after the race that there was too little time to repair the car ahead of the race at Falkenberg in two weeks.

“This was of course not what we hoped for, but now everything is about getting the material for Björk so he can defend his championship lead,” said Flash Engineering team boss Johan Kvick.

Björk still leads the championship with six points despite the crash and is looking for revenge at Falkenberg.

“It is going to be nice to get back in the car so soon after such a big accident. The race at Falkenberg is going to belong to Flash Engineering, the others are going to have to watch out,” said Björk.

Flash Engineering has put together a video, showing the incident from the onboard cameras plus the rebuild work after the crash.
